Plans and Drawings
Are you aware of the Disabled Access provisions contained within the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA)? Disabled Access is now a legislative requirement for all organisations and companies providing a service or facility to the public. From October 2004 you have to have made reasonable alterations to your property to accommodate the disabled.
The Practice is able to prepare drawings for any purpose including building regulations and planning applications, space planning purposes and general arrangement and construction purposes. We also have experience in the preparation of record drawings including mechanical and electrical services. Drawings can be prepared traditionally with a pencil (how quaint) or on computer using industry standard AutoCAD software. We have particular skills in office relocation and space planning, talk to us about reorganising or relocating your office however small or large.
Land & Site Surveys
Accurate measured surveys of land and buildings can be carried out, drawings can be prepared on both AutoCAD and paper where required. Surveys can be prepared for a number of purposes including setting out, record purposes, planning applications and feasibility studies. The practice has experience of sites large and small, the largest being the lead consultant in preparing a full measured survey of a 42 acre hospital site in Surrey.
Refurbishment and Contract Management
Refurbishment and building works can be managed from conception to completion. From taking and developing a clients brief, drawings and specifications are prepared and the appropriate consents obtained. Tender and contract advice is given and the appropriate procurement route agreed, upon receipt of tender these are analysed and reported upon and the contract let to the most suitable contractor. During the course of the works Collier Stevens act as contract administrators and managers and bring works to a successful conclusion within both pre agreed programmes and budgets.
Where necessary our consultant mechanical and electrical engineers and other professionals can provide a comprehensive one stop service. We can now offer furniture consultancy and a full move (either within your existing building or to a new building) management programme including phones and data to provide a complete and unique one stop turn key service - from plans to trading
Disabled Access Audits
Did you know that by summer 2004 all owners / occupiers of buildings to which the public have access must have taken reasonable steps to enable access for the disabled? The first stage in this process is often an audit of your existing provisions and areas of concern. Collier Stevens are able to carry out these audits and provide specialised advice, talk to us about your building.
Residential Landlord & Tenant
We are able to advise tenants who feel that their landlord is "ripping them off" particularly over building work or lack of maintenance. We also work with Landlords to ensure that repairs are effectively undertaken and that the terms of relevant legislation are complied with.
