Professional RICS Chartered Building Surveyors
The Practice Principal is Steven Way MRICS a widely experienced Chartered Building Surveyor with particular interests in Residential Surveys, Access for the Disabled and Party Wall matters - he is editor of the Party Wall Helpline. Steven is also a member of the Institute of Healthcare Engineers & Estate Managers.
The Collier Stevens Practice was born in 1995 with the specific aim of providing client friendly, easy to understand and fairly charged professional advice. The Practice is truly independent and is also a member of the Independent Surveyors Association, we are retained by Health Authorities, Police Forces and Local Authorities to provide commercial advice as well as providing our service to private individuals and firms.
Central to this policy has been a real effort to inject a sense of humour and enjoyment into the way we approach and carry out our work. We have found the approach highly successful and the growth of the Practice has been beyond expectations. Steven is assisted by Grahame Dowse FRICS and Mark Bathurst.
Of course, not everybody is wholly comfortable with this approach. To be fair we have lost one or two Clients or potential Clients - after all we can't be all things to all men - but we have gained far more than we have lost. If you've managed to read this far you are probably the sort of Client we would enjoy working with so why not contact us and see how we can help.
At Collier Stevens we try very, very hard to write our reports and express ourselves in fluent Plain English. Sometimes we get it wrong. We're sorry you can't have your money back, but we will spend as long as needed to explain something to you so that you understand it.
The Practice is regulated by the RICS, is a licensed provider of RICS HomeBuyer Reports and are RICS registered Valuers.
